The newest locking hdmi cable is coming with two metal springs on both left and right side of the connectors.
However as i go to plug it into my laptop it feels a little firm.
If this happens often consider getting locks for your hdmi cables or self locking cables.
Check hdmi cable connections.

If those pins are already bent you would probably better off getting a new cable one that doesn t have those locking pins as they usually end up broken and causing more issues than they solve.
Hdmi connections don t fit as tightly as a component or composite video connection and sometimes slip out.
When i tried pulling it i heard a loud snapping noise.
If you still have one stuck in a thin plastic card of some sort should be able to release the locking pins.
It was in a limited space and the cable would tend to work loose.
